I have HD QR 14" on my 2008C for two years. I am 5'7" high. I got buffeting after 70mph with my 3/4 JHC. I do not feel buffeting at all with FF shoei. I do not need deflectors.
Personal experience, buffeting is not just how high the windshield, the rider height, posture, helmet style, weather are all needed to be considered. I think not getting buffeting from shoei is not because of the quality but more because of the fit. JHC is slightly bigger than I need.
