Dude, before you panic, check to make sure your bike is not in gear with the kickstand down when you hit the starter.... it won't start if it is.... just saying',,,,
Well, didn't get time to check it again till today and it was a quick check due to the cold.
Here's what happened. I went to a friends house, parked in the backyard, when leaving front wheel fell in a hole covered by leaves WHILE running, switched it off (handlebar switch) to wait on a friend to help me pull it out, friend slipped and fell pulling the bike with him. The bike fell softly and on the grass (exhaust side). After we picked it up, turned the key to ign, switch to run, but no engine light came on, no fuel pump whine and it won't crank.
I have switched the relays, I have checked all the cables, battery was perfectly charged before that (since I was riding all day), and checked all fuses. The bike is not in gear and the kickstand position does not matter in this bike.

Any ideas?
Guessing your ignition is getting overridden by the tip-over sensor. I don't have an owners manual for my '02, but check your manual for the procedure to reset the sensor. I think it's cycling the ignition key a few times or something goofy like that...
Well, I found out what the problem was...or still is.
As I tried to reset the tip-over sensor (which apparently this one does not have it), I accidentally pressed the right turn signal. Well, the siganl didn't come on...making me suspect the worst. I took appart my switch housing to find out that the cables that run to the housing were broken. So off to splicing and soldering..
