And let me tell you these things are LOUD!!! They are loud but very smooth sounding and of course you get the sweet Harley backfire when you let off the throttle. I can honestly say I feel a little bad for my neighbors, but oh well there are no laws on the loudness of your pipes here in Wisconsin. I would definitely recommend these to anyone and of course they look frickin' awesome as well!!!
I have shot shots on mine and it does not back fire when I let off the throttle. Did you change the AC and rejet the bike? Sounds like it is out of tune.
I was completely impressed when mine went on...they sound better than my husbands.... I too feel sorry for the neighbours, I plan on riding mine to work and I leave extremely early. I'm wondering how many will be knocking on my door the first day I do it.
Let me rephrase...it does not backfire persay. I has a faint popping or rumbling. It is nothing bad, the scoot is tuned pretty well in my humble opinion. All I have is the pipes, no AC. Oh and I upped my slow jet to a 45 from 42 to get rid of the carb farting.
I have them on my scoot. They are not that loud.My buddy has drags on his and he drowns me out.But I love them anyway.I also don't have the Harley backfire as you call it.They sound great when I back off the throtle.
