Default Installed V&H+Arlen Ness Big sucker

Good Morning All,
Installed V&H+Arlen Ness Big sucker. Any Suggestions for what works best with these 2 MODS ? V&H fuel pak or Power commander? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sadly I'd imagine this will come down to opinion. But I'd like to hear some feedback myself due to I plan on doing the same thing to my 72 I just picked up.

Just get a new tune downloaded. Cost ~$160-$175 at the dealer. I added cycle shack slip ons to mine not long after I bought it and just had the Big Sucker Stage II added about a month ago with a new download. The difference is amazing with the new download. I have no experience with the fuel pak or power commander but if you have a new tune downloaded you don't "need" the other.

For the price of a HD downloaded tune you can get the Dobeck controller & make it run really good. I really like mine & it didn't cost much to do.

Silly question. If the Sucker II is more efficient, why would/do people go with the Sucker I? I always assumed it(II) flowed too many CFM in comparison to the sucker I for a "stage I" bike.

Some prefer the smaller size of the BS I due to clearance with forward controls. I don't have any issues with clearance on the BS II. Arlen Ness says that the BS II flows ~20% more than the BS I.
I've read that they both use the same mounting plate, the difference is the larger filter on the BS II. To be honest I asked the dealer to put on the BS I and when I got the bike back they installed the BS II. It didn't matter enough to me to get them to change it. It runs like a bastard rat now so I can only assume they downloaded the proper tune.
I've read that BS II's are intended for bikes with more involved engine mods.
I couldn't be happier with the way it responds and rides now so my limited experience tells me if you like the look of the BS II you won't be disappointed. I can only imagine how much better it will perform once I upgrade to a complete exhaust.
I'm sure there are others here that are more knowledgeable and have more experience to give a more technical answer but that's what I know.

14.7 to 1 no thank you. I'll take 12.9 , 14.3 to 1 every time

Thank You for all the info, I don't really want or need to go any further MOD wise because with where it's at right now, i'm very satisfied. I don't want to get more than I need. The dealer is saying "get the download for $160", but at the same time maybe "get the Tuner for $400" to save in the long run if the download doesn't workout or I want to change up MODS. It gets a little confusing. I have no intention or desire to add or subtract anything else, I just want the bike to run correctly with these MODS. It sounds like what Im hearing is that the download should be fine and enough.
