weird electrical problem

followed the wiring under the fender, ended up under my seat.
God damn! they love to hide them plugs in the most hard to get to places eh!
well i eventually squeezed, twisted n pulled until i got 3 plugs out.
traced one back to the left turn signals/brake lights. unplugged it and inspected it, covered in what i assume is blue dielectric grease.
found the plug to the right side, unplugged it, no grease at all, and what i think was a green electrical corrosion.
cleaned up the connection points with wd40 and a toothpick lol only thing i had to hand.
plugged it back in.
plugged the fuse back in.
tried the bike, and it started all fine, no problems.
il be going out later to get some dielectric grease. only grease i had was copper grease. wasnt too sure if that would be ok to use. so played it safe and decided not to
