I recently go this J&P Cycles® Chrome Rear Turn Signal Relocation Kit for my 2014 Superlow. It did not come with any instruction for it. I've done searching and have not found any instructions. Is there any out there?
Here's the same deal from Harley. These are their instructions: http://www.harley-davidson.com/app-c...ts/-J03892.PDF
I went to Harley's site, found the part and looked under "More Info". That's where they put install instructions.
You don't need to cut the wires. The metal terminals at the ends of the wires can be removed from the plastic plug and re-inserted after the wires are run through the turnsignal mounting stalks. The trick is getting the terminals separated. There's a tiny mechanism in there that releases the terminals, one at a time, from the plug. I'm not certain which style terminal is used for the T/S plugs, so I won't go into further detail, clouding the issue. Check this resource, find the plug you're dealing with and go from there. I think Figure B-2 and B-3 are the ones you want: http://mael.rivoal.free.fr/Manuel%20...R/sm_appb1.pdf
If you do cut the wires, and plan to re-use the existing plug, make your cuts staggered. This prevents a giant bulge in your repair. Solder and shrink tube work pretty good, but I prefer removing the pins (terminals) from the plug. You probably know all this little stuff, but don't hesitate to ask.
