Default Auto-extending VEs

Does VTune auto-extend on the rich side or the lean side when calculating 90-100kPa VEs? Curious what folks have seen.

IME, usually, but not always, auto extending is to the lean side. By 8-15 points.

Thanks for the feedback. I like using auto-extend because it probably shapes the area better than leaving it alone. I've been able to get some real good hits in the 80 & 85 kPa columns by using my iPhone as a data display.

How are you using the phone as a display for the TTS. I would love to be able to do that!

Probably setting up an adhoc network from his laptop to his cell phone using Teamviewer.

Just a guess. I used to do it that way until I got an extended 7" USB monitor mounted on a mirror stem.

Hey torch. I used to set the laptop and phone in an adhoc network like Wiz said, but IOS 7 or 8 or whatever, made it impossible for iPhone to work on an adhoc.
There is still a way to do it, reverse the order and set up a "hotspot" on the iPhone and have the laptop sign into the hotspot. I use an app called "JUMI Mouse+". It also gets loaded on the laptop. Works very stable for me. You don't have to use JUMI. But you will need some kind of remote display program. There are other folks here who can help give you options. Pretty much pick a remote for iPhone and let the iPhone run the network. I use Rider's Claw to hold the iPhone, and turn it sideways to get a nice wide picture. Use a hair tie from the wife's hair stuff to keep the phone in the claw while it's sideways. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I've never had to go that fast to fill in a histogram. I use 3 sacks of thinset in my trunk. It helps having a triglide for loading on extra weight like that. Makes my triglide and I weigh about 1,600 lbs. By having the extra 150lbs, I can hit 80-85kPa columns very easily. I also haven't tried to get much data over 5,500 rpm. I don't ever run the motor up there. I live in the California Central Valley and there are 2-5 mile stretches of road that have nearly no car traffic. It's super simple to get just about all the cell blocks and not be over 55 mph. I'd say that most can be hit around town or at city speeds.
As for the remote monitor? I've learned to not stare at it, but rather glance at where the moving rectangle is and make sure the green/yellow info at the top right is green as much as possible. If it's yellow, something isn't in spec to collect, which 90% of the time it's too high MAP or too low MAP. I've done this enough that I can tell by the way is sounds and feels where I am in the histogram.
Bottom line is never stare at the remote and always try to use a gear that keeps rpm nice and smooth to hit each cell block at the lowest speed.
