Ok my laptop just died and i dont want to get another. All i used it for was bills and the tmax, my question is if i had say a iPad with USB port could i use an external hard drive to upload the cd and tune the bike with the tablet?
Im not an IT guy obviously ha
id appreciate any help
thanks
Well...in theory yes it could. I suspect there are a few caveats and have no idea what they would all be, but if you had a tablet that was Windows and had a USB port then thats 90% of the battle. You could email Thundermax or whomever does their support and just ask them although I suspect that they may never have tried it out, so they would say that its not supported. Personally I went a bought a small but quick Dell laptop/notebook (Model E6220) that is perfect for working on the bike as its lightweight etc - its also grunty enough to do 90% of my work so thats a bonus.
You would not need an external CD ROM either as the software can be downloaded from the website (plus the version on the CDROM will be way out of date) and install it using a USB memory stick or downloaded directly to the tablet.
