That is strong performance at 114/120 out of the stage 3 114 upgrade kit. Do you think that would be consistent with the CVO 114 performance after tuning or are there significant differences between the 114 upgrade and the CVO 114?
The CVO 114 will not perform the same with just a tune. The upgrade from 107 to 114 increases compression from 10:1 to 11:1 and a different camshaft. The CVO is still 10.5:1 according to HD and has the stock cam which is listed as the same stock cam that came in the 107's.
So you would need to swap camshaft, raise compression and change the valves springs in the CVO model and possible the air cleaner and mufflers to get the same performance as this.
Stage III kit is shown as $1596
Air Cleaner is shown as $185
4 1/2" Mufflers are shown as $500
So for about $2800 in parts plus labor to a 107 this is what you can get. To me that's a lot better deal than the cost difference of a CVO plus the parts you would need to raise its performance to the same level.

Curious what the numbers would be with the street tuner. Does using the tts void warranty?? Bumping compression up to 11.1 doing a lot of riding in areas of the country with low octane gas would that pose a problem?
Harley says right in their catalog that to have the warranty honored, you would need to use their street tuner for mods. This issue also depends on your relationship with the dealer you use, some are much more flexible than others. Mine has been REAL flexible, but I know other dealers in my area that follow the rules strictly.
Thanks so not knowing much about tuners it sounds like it would just get an epa compliant tune as per what stage kit you get. If that's the case the numbers may not be quite as good as Steve's.
No the numbers will not be as good as the ones Steve posted. The street tuner is not capable of giving a tune as spot on as one from a TTS Mastertune the street tuner was not designed too. If you refer back to post 101 in this thread you will see that you can still use this Harley stg kit and tune your bike the way it needs to be tuned and not have to worry about your warranty. pm for more details

Just went back and read that thanks for the info that will be the way to go
Wes from L-A Harley posted a 114 stg3 with the street tuner- 107 TQ and 100HP.
Aaron from Gail's HD just did one that made 120/112 in fifth.
The Street Tuner is speed limited to ~107 MPH.
Really want to do one with a good pipe and a TTS.

Do you know if theres a dyno chart or youtube up for the one from Gail's? Thanks!
