I know this years circumstance with Covid and the uncertainty of it is the reason people are reluctant to make their plans and secure reservations.
I am looking forward to some time off and doing some riding. My poor bike has been sobbing for some attention, so I washed and waxed it last weekend. I just went for a short ride on it for the first time in a long while. Sure been thinking about it today. Especially after seeing Tony Bevis this afternoon. What a difference in my riding habits from 10 years ago when it was nothing to do a 300 mile day at a moments notice of a post by a Florida Crew member.
Hopefully more Crew members will jump on board and secure reservations soon. Thank you Lauren and Frank for the leg work to set this up.
Yes it's been a bad year for riding, I have never ridden so few miles in 6 months.
About a dozen have signed up so far. I'm guessing people don't want to commit but we have the option to cancel till October 31st when the hotel and the caterer for Saturday evening want their final counts. You all have nothing to lose by signing up, I don't believe the hotel is even taking a deposit then just want a credit card to secure your room.
It would be a great shame if we had to cancel due to Covid, but worse, to cancel due to low numbers. I will get in touch with Rich and ***** to see if the PBSO are coming, I know Stan has already booked his room so hopefully the others have too. We could always go as a small group and cancel the Saturday night catering and just ride into Palatka for dinner or get delivery.
In the meantime I hope more people make reservations. Thanks MJ for starting this thread.
If I go this year I am driving up....I want to see the crew ....just wont be able to ride.
Sorry to hear you won't be riding, but hope all is well with you .. Lucy won't be riding much either if at all .. But we are planning on coming only reason I have not reserved yet is she needs to see her specialist at the end of the month then will confirm one way or the other after get the results ..
