Ok...here's the deal...after consulting with my wingman extraordinaire TJD...I have decided to put a cork in it till at least after Cedar Key....reason being...riding to CK and back under break in rules would suck tremendously...don't know that I could resist setting the cruise..and well..cruising...secondly, and this manily why I'm posting...I need some feedback from my bro's...the new 10's will be out at the end of Juy.....since it seems like we are the only ones fortunate enough to be dropping buttloads of cash on HD dealerships all over FL...I'm thinking they might have more than a few 09's left over when the 10's come out...and that maybe they would be more willing to deal on an 09 with 10's sitting in the shoroom....whats yall opinion of this line of thought?
You ask for opinions here's mine. If you have patience (I usually don't). I don't see how it could hurt to wait until the 2010's come out. Worse case, I would think, is that you go without a new bike for a couple of months and your bike is really nice as it is. We've heard some rumors about what is coming out be know one really know except Willie G. There might be somthing that you just have to have that is 2010 or you might be able to get a better deal on a 2009, as I said before worse case you keep your money in your account a bit longer.
You've probably already heard this but the rumor is that all 2010's will have cataletic converters.
Having said all that... I'd proly go buy a RK and head to CK riden it like I stole it.
your telling me you cant break in the road king before ceder key?
lend it to Paul he will have the first set of original tires worn out before then.
i see were your coming from on waiting
Jim,
while i was at rottenmeyers today dropping off my bike, i got a good look at the e glides. they don't seem to be as wide as i thought. the saddlebags pop right off and the handlebars seem pretty narrow.
should definately fit through your doorway. nice fairings too.
just something to think about !! unless you're stuck on the rk..
i hope to have the bke back friday evening or saturday early.
i will call you
Dave

Thanks Dave...just what I need more indecision...lol
Jim, try the RG also, I liked my RKC but the RG sits low also. Either way, you and me are getting old man butt (meaning its disappearing) so its time for you to get a Caddy of Harleys. Charley are you reading this? 09Should be good but might be worth waiting a month and a half for 0-10, just get ABS, the frame and gearing are huge difference also, just wait.
Jim,
Here is my opinion:
I wouldn't (didn't) worry about what I could save if I waited. They are doing whatever they can to sell bikes now. Go for the good deal and hold your ground. They will come around. Your going to end up waiting a few months to save a couple hundred dollars.
Think about this: What if the 2010 models have more pollution crap and they run out of 09s on ya! OOPS!!!
I say buy it.... THIS WEEKEND! JMFUO.
Then again Jim I agree with Dale also. I think you should get an 09 or 0-10, hope this opinion was helpful hehe.
