Every one with a cell phone needs to watch this announcement. Texting, talking, emailing, doing everything but watching the road. Very sad, but so common these days. Good information.
It's an excellent video. Unfortunately though IMO, the use of teenage girls in the video will leave most of the adult population thinking this doesn't apply to them. I'd like to see the same type of thing featuring "soccer moms" busy yacking on the phone.
It for sure is a strong point. As i drive around all day long i see it everywhere. Reading, makeup, texting or just yapping away. There are times i am up in the bucket and i look down on a busy road/corner and its amazing the amount of people on the phone
Awsome post!!! Sends a strong message. I wish they would show this kind of stuff on or TV's. Its a shame that they sugar coat everything in the USA.People need to see the consequences of what they do. If its Texting, putting on makeup whatever. When your behind the wheel people need to pay attention to the road. Needs to be stronger penalties for that kind of stuff IMHO!!!!!
Talking and texting should be on the same level as DUI....imagine your sitting at a red light and someone coming up behind you is texting....
Hmmm, wouldn't that be covered under the FL "Stand Your Ground" law? Yea, I may be dead from taking the time to do it, but I'd have legal satisfaction.
This is one of the few things that will get you fired in my company, using cell while driving. We had one year not long ago where half our workforce fatalities were from car accidents, cell phone use in almost everyone of them. We now restrict the company cell only to people who have extreme needs for it, sensitive positions etc etc. It is deadly, not a big law passer for all our societal ills but I dont know why we (Fla) dont have similar laws as many other states restricting texting and cell usage while driving.

OK, now I'm impressed. This is the first time I have seen "published", that a major company has taken a stand on prohibiting the use of cellphones while driving. The norm seems to be answer the phone or get fired.
