Default Ocala ride plans/maps

Hey folks, Last year there was a person that had
pre-printed some maps for about 4-5 differant rides
in and around the Ocala area.
Does anybody remember who that was, and/or may have
copies they could scan and send to me?
I have found a website that I am trying to use called "Harley
Davidson ride planner"
http://rideplanner.harley-davidson.c...idePlanner.jsp
It looks like I (or you) could plan out a ride and download it to a GPS...
or share the route with others. I have not tried it as of yet...
but maybe someone can help out, especially those more familiar with
the interesting roads, sites and thirst quenching areas of OCALA.
Did one of the routes head off towards Cedar Key? I know I followed
Hugh "Fish Head" to Destination Daytona.
Just wondering if anyone kept copies of the routes we could use.

I heard someone mention about riding to Crystal River...I need a tee shirt from the HD store in CR...so I might head that aways on Sat...besides HD Jaco's brother has a bar there and made a few of us feel very welcome a couple months back, wouldn't mind visiting with him again...
psssssssstt Chuck... maps are real tough to read on a moving bike...just so's ya know....

Thanks for the tip about reading maps there, 'boy scout'!

Crystal River sounds like a good destination...I know there is a road there, called "Ozela Trail"....or something like that. Kind of a twisty ride with a nice resterant at the end of it.
Members on here that own bars or have friends/family/ex wives that own bars
would be on my Christmas card list.

Getting lost is easy....getting home (or to the next gas station is the hard part).
I am just trying to think ahead (I know....dumb-de-dumb dumb) and sometimes people like to follow someone that has an inkling of where they are going.
(Why follow someone that is lost when you can do a perfectly good job on your own?)
When I lead a group and I say "I am going to point A." Somebody usually says "How are we going to get there?"....Then I shrug my shoulders and take off without waiting for anyone. Now that is a ride to remember.
But...GPS all to hell, if anyone knows some good rides...now would be a good time to kind of map them out. Plenty of time to work out details.
Now Barbara and I...? Hell...we can get lost on our own, done it plenty of times. Don't need a group to get in our way.
Barbara has asked me plenty of times if I know where I am going.....the answer is
always the same "Yep...I just don't how to get there."
So if you ride and you want to get lost...no sense riding with me, that would only make two of us!
Now fess up the horse country routes!

Hey Sick Puppy,

I have been to Crystal River and the Ozella Trail twice. Once was the first rally and the other was with Derek. He makes the ride over from Gainesville every now and then and I am sure he would lead the ride over. We could also hit HDJacos brother's place.

Chuck the AZ guys use that ride planner all the time. Check it out in the Southwest section or pm 2of2 for more info on it. They seem to like it so maybe it would be good for us to use to have the routs all together in one place. Good thinking.
