As of today, 11/30/09 this is the run we are riding in next Sunday, Dec 12. Thought I'd update the OP so you all don't have to search through the thread to find out what's going on. So far Just Dave, Flslowryder, BlueDragon, Ladyhawk, and maybe BDM are meeting at my house in Odessa at 10 a.m. This is because I work nights and they are kind enough to let me sleep in 'till the last minute. If any one else wants to join us here or meet up somewhere along the way shout out.
Contact your nearest Marine Corps recruiter. They may
know where a Toys for Tots ride will be. If you have a nearby American Legion that sponsors a "Legion Riders" chapter, they may have something planned.
Look up on-line also, Toy for Tots, and see what comes up.
Thats a big toy run Steve, may want to get a few miles under the tires before you take on a feature like that one.
The Poker runs are good for your little girl, Screamin-ego. Consist of short runs and can break off while still in town if she feels uncomfortable.
Actually... I just found out it is the same weekend as another charity one I want to do. This one is for cops injured on the job.... (Murph??? ) Only about 700 bikes and it heads somewhere in the Keys. The salesman (Retired cop) that sold me my bike told me about it.
Besides... 30,000 bikes would be a piece of cake. I'm sure being police escorted they wouldn't all be going "***** to the wall".
