Traded Up!
How's it going folks, well those of you with whom I went for a ride with on the 4th know how miserable I was on my '02 883R sporty, and I have been wanting to upgrade.
So today out of curiosity I went to the local HD dealer to see what I could get in trade in for my sporty. Long story short, one hour later I was out of there with a brand new '09 Sportster 1200C in Sunglow Red. This bike was brand new '09 stock they cut me a deal I couldn't refuse, has the upgraded factory forward controls, passenger foot pegs, and the 21 inch chrome spoked front wheel and tire combo. I absolutely love this bike. Much more comfortable than my old sporty and much smoother ride in every aspect, and a big difference in power.
I sat on the nightster and the 48, but they were low to the ground bar hoppers just like my old bike so I couldn't see the justification for the expense there. Soon as I sat on the custom I was in love, and a short ride confirmed it all. The folks at the dealership were a pleasure to deal with and I feel I got a good deal with a few extras thrown in there, and never in my life was it so easy to buy anything.
So enough rambling on, here's a couple of pics.
Looking forward to getting out to ride, only things I'm thinking of adding for the immediate future are a sissy bar for the old lady and a detachable windshield for those 400+ mile trips with the crew.

I'm off Friday and Saturday so let me know.
I have a bigger tank too so I won't need to fuel up every 5 minutes, lol.

Thanks for the kind words guys, and yes Charley does have a riding partner now, lol.
Rusty that sounds like an awesome ride, I'm game for that, lets see if we can get some of the other crew members to head out as well.
