I'm out on this one now. Had a minor fender bender late last night/early this morning. No one hurt or anything, but my crash bar is warped and there was damage where it attaches to the frame under the handlebars. Ins doesn't want me riding until it's fixed just in case because of the frame.
Waiting now to see what they're gonna do with it, dealer said I need a new frame, don't know yet if Progressive is going to fix it or total it.

Damn! On the new bike? Glad you are ok but wow that sucks.
Dang it Gabe! WTF happened? Or is it too embarassing to post?
I'm not embarrassed, SH$T happens, that's why we have insurance and they're called accidents. I pulled into a gas station with my buddy who I went for a ride with he needed gas.
I'm stopped and proceed to turn right, a car came from my left going the same way, happened quick basically we were both going to the same place and my bike hit his car on the rear passenger side. We decided not to wait for hours for the cops, we would take care of the damage between us. But this morning when I went to look at the bike the damage was worse than I thought. I thought it would just need a new crash bar and problem solved. Well when the crash bar was hit and warped it messed up the frame up under the forks. The tab from the crash bar where the bolt goes sits behind the neck of the frame and it was twisted out so the frame is damaged. I didn't want to bang in place and have someone weld it or anything because it's the frame, you just never know. The dealer said they would have to strip the bike down and send the frame back to HD for repair and then put the whole bike back together. At least 20 Hours of labor @ $80/Hour, and the cost of the frame swap/repair. Adjuster for the motorcycles don't work on weekends so Monday they will be contacting me so I won't know much of anything else for now. They were adamant about me NOT riding the bike for now. I was just going to take off the crash bar and ride, but they have specifically told me to stay off of it and I can understand, you just don't know if rough roads or engine vibration could damage the frame further, not worth the risk to me or the bike. The dealer said roughly looking at the $5K-$6K ballpark for repairs when it's all said and done with labor. The service guy lives in my neighborhood, he's the one I was out riding with last night so he saw the damage I did not ride the bike out to the dealer.
So we'll see what happens, glad no one was hurt, hopefully they fix the bike and not declare it a total loss, if they do I have no clue what I will buy, lol.
Sorry to hear that Gabe! But I am just thankful your leg wasn't there at time of impact. Hope ya get no hassles from the insurance company. Good luck my friend!!!

Thanks brother yes it was a close one and the whole situation could have been much worse than it is. I don't forsee a hassle but who knows. I would be happy with the bike repaired, but I'm torn on the total loss thing. I don't know if they automatically total bikes for frame damage like they do cars. If they total it then I get a new one and I'm out riding again. If my bike is going to get fixed then the dealer told me at least one month with no bike for repairs.
