Wifey and myself were riding over the MacArthur causeway heading west on Sunday. I looked in the mirrors just in time to see two sport bikes going at least 100 miles an hour zoom past me in my lane. I thought we were going to make contact for sure. Dumb asses !

I hate that. If people have a death wish, keep me out of it.
I am against most modern technology but an alarm that goes off when rapidly approaching objects from rear would be cool.
I check my mirrors a lot but I've been shocked a few times.

know what you mean...was heading up I-35 last fall on a sunday morning. glanced in mirrors and saw 2 crotch rockets coming up on me. i was passing a slow moving car running about 80. they came by like i was sitting still. one was in my lane and the other went by the car on the shoulder. had to be going 140 or so. could have easily been 3 bikes and a car in a nasty accident. just wasn't my turn to die.
They have startled me a time or two myself but I can't say much because I used to do the same thing when I was a kid. Lucky to be alive after those days. Strange how I never got hurt bad until I started riding a Harley.

Few weeks ago on 27 crotch rockets came up behind me. I was in the left lane and they started passing me on the left and on the right including in my lane. They just kept coming and coming as I watched them in my rearview mirror. I stayed exactly where I was so none of them would hit me. was probably about 12 or 14 of them in total.

I have had more than a few pass me like I was standing still. When I go to change lanes, I check my mirror and then turn back and look... I am looking not only for cages, but just as much, or more, for crotch rockets way further back.

I almost got killed to on the causway that same day. I was out on the Busa taking a liesurely ride at 140+ across the causway so I wouldnt get hit by the kid speedster GSXR 600-1000 bikes all of a sudden this guy on a slow assed black harley was riding like it he was going to church on Sunday appeared in front of me. Had to jam on brakes after doing a mirror check so I diidnt get hit from behind. Scared me a bit.
Glad your okay Clutch, its happened to me more than a few times on teh Harley, but never while on the Busa.
