Never had any type of surgery until last Monday. Torn meniscus in left knee got taken care of. No pain in the knee after surgery but getting the anesthesia out of my system couldn't come quick enough. Was able to walk around the block without crutches by Thursday and was knee was strong enough to hold up the bike so I took it out for a 60 mile ride before the rains came in today. Felt good to be back in the wind, lots of other bikes in the area as well. Wonder what I'm gonna do with the next 5 weeks off
Hey Pat, good to hear your doing well. Hope to ride with soon, but those 4 letter words (work & rain) have kept me off the road. Don't know if i like this new job. David

Thanks David!! New job? Don't tell me you took a promotion!! Look forward to riding with you soon and hear about your trip back to the mountains, Pat.
Been waiting to hear how it went... Sounds good-to-excellent... YOU seem to be rehab'ing quickly, mentally/physically... If you have some time on your hands and want to ride out this way/go for a ride and get some lunch (Gator Joe's/Tiki Hut/Coyote Rojo/BoonDock's/YaLaHa Bakery/Et al) LMK...

Count on it!!! Follow up with the surgeon tomorrow and then I can start making some plans. Now if this rain would go away...
