Question Lower front forks

Got a 2022 Harley-Davidson Street Glide - FLHX and wanting to lower the front forks. Can I install the lowering kit by leaving the front fork attached? Other than putting them in a vice to hold them more vertical, seems that leaving them installed would be the same?

You could in theory, but you'd have to remove the entire inner and outer fairing and bars. Removing the forks is far easier and the preferred method.
