For all of those who pay extra to run nitrogen in your cars, I am selling tickets to my cool new "Turtle Circus". I have trained my aquatic turtles to do fantastic immitations of the US olympic swimmers and the largest turtle, Ninja, does a great Phelps! Please send $5 and you will get your very own download of the "Turtle Circus" in action! But wait, there's more! If you act now, we'll throw in some bonus footage of our very large iguana, Sheila!
Just to throw my penny in... I do have nitrogen filled tyres because i have spoke wheels and l know spoke wheels leak air more than others. Even more so if they sit arround for any length of time. Mine have been a constant for over a year! I also note that once up to temp, they dont cool off as fast if the weather turns nasty, gotta be safer in my mind.
I thought spoke wheels have tubes in them. I could be wrong, but I didn't know tubes leak more than tubeless tires.......hmmmmm.
Yes they do as it's just a thing membrane compared to a tires thickness. Whenever a tubed tire is not holding air for extended periods it's telling you the tube needs to be replaced.

Ever watched a party balloon go down after a couple of days??.... the thinner the rubber, the quicker the smaller air molecules escape. Fill up a new innertube and the same will eventually happen. However fill that same balloon/innertube with just nitrogen and sit back and watch.... you tell me..

Nitrogen is also used in some stock car racing tires too, when I used to work with a crew at a local small track here in NH we ran nitrogen in the tires because it didn't change as much when heated which allows you to have a more consistant "stagger" in your tires, stagger is diameter differance between the tires which is a great factor in the suspension and handling setup of the car.
