10. Wasn't sure whether other rider was waving or making an obscene gesture.
9. Afraid might get frostbite if hand is removed from heated grip.
8. Has arthritis and the past 400 miles have made it difficult to raise arm.
7. Reflection from etched windshield momentarily blinded him.
6. The espresso machine just finished.

4. Was in a three-way conference call with stockbroker and accessories dealer.

ROLF!!! My work mates asked what the heck was making me laugh so hard.
Must be a nice place to ride (view wise) but speeds would be too slow for me.
I guess you answered the age old question "does a bear shift in the woods?" wait that's not right...
Esthetically pleasing for sure though today it is only white...again, except where the bears stop walking...
Speed can be had here...ahh Speeding can be had here. Leos are thin but can get into supplying government wealth. We acutually have paved roads with one or two straight stretchs...LMAO.

Sorry we digress....
Last time I was there in 04 I was shocked at how slow the speed limits were but I was mostly near the down town area. And I've only been from the Ferry to where my In-laws live and then around town so never got up north. But hey global warming my *** with you guys getting as much snow up there.

Reason: because
Excellent Post and have to agree with a lot of the reasons... Saw a Pair of Goldwings yesterday riding in perfect sync knew better than to wave but their noses were so high think some snot blew my way ...
Last year I did the March of Dimes ride here in St. Louis. A really nice old man pulled up next to me on his Goldwing. Good gosh. He had velvet cross hatched stitching. Seats heated up. Heck - I think he said his wifes vibrated. Controls. Shoot - he had more controls than a cockpit of an airplane. I am sitting there on my Sporty - only gauge I have is the speedometer. He went on and on. Heck, I think he had A/C and was brewing a pot of coffee. I was never so happy to see his line leave in my life. He was nice - but annoying. I had nothing to say - "yep I got two wheels, a seat, handlebars" but beyond that - my bike is just a bike. My perfect Sportster.
Great post... hilarious!
I wave at everyone, heck... even young'un's on dirt bikes!
I figure when I was that young it would've thrilled me for a guy on a big Harley to wave at me. Besides, they may grow up to be a Harley owner one day too!
