Any you guys big in to ridin quads?? The son-in-law bought a new Can Am 400 and.... hehe.....left it in my garage....said if I wanted to feel free to take it out and put some break in time on it! Well... he come over the other day and its covered in mud and has about ten hours on it now....the look on his face was about priceless! I haven't ridden one in years and now I have a half mile track down through the woods and up over the hill, through a creek....damn good fun there! I did have one small problem though......had a rough time gettin outta bed this morning for work.....man!!!! Thank god for drugs! I did make it to work this morning!!!
Hahahaa classic, good for you. I bet that look was priceless!
I've owned several 4 mini wheeled money pits. Banshee's and Raptors mostly. I find the tracks are more fun than trail riding. Reason I say this is track you can learn, riding a new trail can be very painful... last trail ride I did my buddy was picking cactus needles out of my back for an hour (that's when you find out who your friends really are!!) when we came to the top of a hill and the road forked... couldn't make a decision left or right as I was airborn when I arrived at said fork!
I have been on quad for the past 20 years. Probably contributed to my 3 herniated discs LOL. And yes, drugs do help quite a bit. Sold my work horse a week after I bought my Fatty. I figured the pavement may be a little lighter on my back. I miss it though, all my buddies still ride and I get the Sat. nite calls sayin they are goin out for some beers and ridin. Bastards think they are funny. Nothin like tearin a 700 lb machine through the mud, hills, and trees. Oh well I am gonna go wipe my tears away now
It's fun taking a Yamaha 700 Grizzly with power steering through the trails...The power steering acts as a steering dampener and my arms aren't as sore as they were before. I just wish there were more trails to ride on around here!
Used to do a lot of quad riding back when one of my sisters had a good chunk of land surrounded by woods and fields. We had a number of quads in the stable - some of them spent a lot of time at the drag strips when we were racing, but most of all, we'd take them out, chase each other around, crash, flip, get banged up and bruised and have a hell of a good time. That was 10 years ago, and I've aged a lot since then. My body just isn't up for much abuse any more.
