Impossible to judge, not having been there. If potential bad guys hear this kind of stuff they may have second thoughts and go get a damn job!
When good men do nothing, evil wins!
I'm sure we all remember the Lubbys Cafeteria incident in Kileen Tex. a few yrs ago. One person with a gun could've stopped that idiot!
The guy in this case is a hero. No one knows what this scumbag had in mind.
The sad part is thanks to our legal system the robber’s family will probably file a civil suit against the customer for wrongful death. There isn’t enough information in the article to state what happened but if the customer pulled his gun first then the customer might be held liable.
Bull Crappy...............I am not gonna pull my gun to "save" the $200? a store has in their register. Now, if the gunman would have started shooting people, it's ON.
Mess with me, my family, or property, it's ON... Let the cops handle the robbery. That's why they get the big money.........
Without havin been there, it's hard to say...but, on the surface, I would have to agree with JW. Takin somebody's 200 bucks is a long way from takin their life. If I thought for one moment the robber was gonna shoot someone either way, I woulda stepped in...otherwise, I woulda let him run with a couple hunnert bucks. The one thing none of us know for sure...were there no other folks hit 'cause this guy had things under control...or, did he just get lucky? How supportive of this guy would some of ya's be if'n ya was sittin in the BK with yer family, and he got yer kid killed over a couple hunnert bucks? I'm all for gun rights and concealed carry...have had guns all my life, and used to have a CCW til I let it expire recently...but, a certain responsibility comes with that...the responsibility to make good decisions on the if's, how's 'n when's to use yer weapon. If ya gots no more sense than to open fire in a crowded restuarant over a few $$$...then, just maybe, ya don't need to be carryin a gun to start with.
For those weak kneed folks who think this was about saving a couple hundred dollars, I sure hope you're not around if someone has a gun in my face. The robber had a gun in the clerk's face! WTF would it take to force you to take any action if you were armed? Gunshots from the robber first?
The customer did the right thing as evidenced by the fact that the a$$wiped will never stick a gun in anyone else's face. Job well done.
