Perhaps HDF mods can't differentiate "post whoring" from "community building"? Both the Poser Meet & Greet and Serial Posters threads had a small community of regulars who liked to keep up and BS with each other. What is the harm in that?
Can I ask for a definition as to what a "pointless" post in a BS forum really is so that we don't anger the "big bosses" anymore?
Is what I thought the BS section was for as well ..
I didnt post in the serial , but did in the poser , and theres a handful of us who have become pretty good friends , and are planning some stuff together , because of it ..
If you're going after pointless threads , ya got yur werk cut out for ya , cause there's a lot of them scattered all over this forum ..
tens of thousands of two word nonsense responses in Games forum, plenty of out of control belligerence and bashing in Politics forum... delete them. If you're gonna enforce the rules then enforce them fairly.
yeah I didn't understand how they can allow a thread for well over a year and then all of a sudden, I guess on a whim, just decide to get rid of it? I also thought the few regulars that showed up were developing a camaraderie.
I was sorry to see you guys lose that thread. I only posted in Serial for a short while, but really enjoyed the chats. I'm not sure I understand what value is placed on post count. This is just an internet forum. No one is selecting their brain surgeon based on the post count. It means nothing. And yes, a lot more post counts rise from the game section than they do from the one or two "chat" threads.
I started the "Serial Posters" thread as kind of a joke and it ran for over 8 months. I never posted in it more than a handful of times and I thought it was kind of cool that it took on a life of its own. I think it would be equally cool if the powers that be could give some kind of explaination why they closed it down, did it take up too much room, did the post numbers make people jealous, I think maybe it must be the latter for the powers that be to refer to the community of people on it as "post ******". "Rest in Peace" Serial Posters.
