I hate Goldwings for 2 reasons.......I really hate Goldwings because of their looks, handling, and HUGE size....But I really dislike most of the owners..I think they are the most rude, and caustic sob's on the face of the earth...They run down every other motorcycle that's not a Goldwing.
I've had many arguments with Goldwing owners started by them concerning what I ride vs what they ride. I own a Harley, and a Kawasaki....I'll take Harley owners anyday over Goldwing owners...............

I don't know if this has been mentioned already, but GW's are also very heavy. I believe the new ones weigh in just under 1000 lbs stock.

They sound like electric vehicles. One of the GW riders got his like 3 years ago and never owned a Harley because he says they leak oil and break down all the time. One of the others has never owned a harley but has been riding for 30 years. He only shows up if there is a 0% chance of rain. Say's he has never road in rain before.

Here's how I see it.
If you own a Goldwing, you are one of two things
1) dellusional
2) a *****

I can live with other cruiser types, but not with Goldwings although some BMW models discusst me too.

Look around sometime when you are in a group of like 15 Harley's and you got a couple of Goldwings with you. Screws up the whole picture.
I don't like the Goldwing. It's too "scooterish" and too "Tupperwareish" for me but I admit that they are fast, torquey, comfy and dependable. Would I buy one? Nah, never. Their owners? I have no problem with them as long as they don't start bad mouthing HD and HD owners, using all the well known cliches.

When we were on the ferry from Nova Scotia back to Canada my friend pointed to two Goldwing trikes and said "What do you think, is that us when we are seventy?" Could be.

I'd ride alongside a friend on a Wing before I'd ride beside one on a Jap sportsbike.

Well here we go bike bashing. I thought it was all about riding and having fun. I have had GW's and Harleys, I have met people on both sides that I didn't care for. I guess at my age I have learned just to try and get along with all bikers. If you don't like a bike or a person don't ride them or ride with them. I have had my nose to the grind stone for many years and now I'm retired. I can pick and choose who and where I ride with. Life sure gets tuff when all you have to do is complane about a bike or person. I try and spend as many hours riding and not bitching. The older you get the shorter the time left to ride. So I'm not spending it complaining about what ever. I try and live so when the time comes I don't have to say I wish I would done this or that. I can't do it all but I plan to give it one hell of a try.
