Hanging out at the Dealership???
I live outside of the US and maybe things have changed over the last ten years, but last I checked there was no one hanging around the Dodge dealership just loafing. What is the deal here? Is this really what people do now hang out at a dealerhip. Seems boring to me.
Hanging out was encouraged just for the friendly social aspect. They were in a modest size space and the overall feel of the dealership was personable and down-home. It WAS fun to stop in and just watch and laugh (and eat).
Then they moved into a much bigger space that was really appropriate for larger crowds and accommodating events - and other than their grand-opening, basically quit doing everything. They also had a significant change in staff and quit honestly negotiating with folks, for bikes, parts, you name it.
But any time I had to stop in for a part or two I'd still see the usual core of local HOG chapter guys sitting out front, watching others come and go with a strangely visible disdain. They were quite the clique, which is why I didn't remain a local member. Like the dealership, they were originally a pretty friendly group, but as they grew they became more snobby.
