I live in OKC and have ridden pretty much year round, this winter has been very mild. I like to ride at the wildlife refuge and Mt. Scott area that will be right next to Ft. Sill.
Same here. Oklahoma has unprdictable weather - and that means you can have great riding weather any time of year. From Ft sill you can get to lots of places and see all kinds of roads. Eastern OK had gret twisties to ride in. There are lots of lakes and plenty of historical places to go. Wide open places abound. You'll have a great time - Oklahoma is a great place.
As mentioned before, we have unpredictable weather in Oklahoma. We'll get a few mild winters in a row then a few years of crap. We had blizzards two yrs in a row and a few yrs before that we had a crap load of ice dumped on us. As for the Ft. Sill/Lawton area, there is plenty of scenery for some nice riding.
