Default Help in OK

Hi, everyone I am in the military, and may be moving to Fort Sill, I could use some help with local information. I have many questions. Like what are the riding conditions are in OK? Can I ride most of the year or is it a short riding season. I will be looking for a good independent shop for my scooter and good folks to hang out and ride with. Any information will be helpful so throw anything you got my way.
Thanks, Oldmannk

I am in Tulsa. I ride year round. Not every day, but I can usually get to ride once a week or so in the winter.

It's been unseasonably warm this winter, so far I have ridden at least once a week. This time last year there was over a foot of snow on the ground and the city of Tulsa was all but shut down. I'm quite a bit NW of Ft. Sill so I am not real familiar with the area. Lawton is close to Ft. Sill and there is a HD dealer there. I know you are looking for an indy but you might hook up with some folks to ride with at the dealership.

I'm in the Tulsa area also, and have experienced the same riding conditions as mentioned above. Don't have any info about the Ft. Sill area though, sorry.

Was station there back in the 1990. There is nothing there but riding should be ok. Just have to bear with the summer heat 100+.

it gets cold in the winter months but there is great riding in the spring summer and fall. lake perry is a cool place to hang out.

oh and if you are in the PGR makes sure you get rid of all the patches, stickers, hats etc that have their logo on it. some mc out there raised hell and it is not allowed now.

I live in OKC and have ridden pretty much year round, this winter has been very mild. I like to ride at the wildlife refuge and Mt. Scott area that will be right next to Ft. Sill.
