The only large groups I've been in either had LEO blockers or a rider pulled off the road directing those cut off by traffic signals to the correct turn.
I've rarely seen non-LEO blockers and haven't been held up long in those cases anyway.
It's like so many things today.....If that's all he/she has to bitch about then I'd say they are pretty lucky.
Regarding my previous post. I do want to be clear that I don't like it when I see it and I would never do it. It is a minor inconvenience but not the end of the world.
I think it's a sign of the times that riders that do it think "What I'm doing is more important than what you are doing" It doesn't matter if it's a HOG ride or an MC. Riders need to obey traffic laws just like everyone else and I believe that "impeding the flow of traffic is a traffic offense in most jurisdictions.
If a group does it (outside of a funeral procession) and gets cited, I think they deserve the citation.
Your choices in your poll are pointless. No one except law enforcement officers, DOT workers, or city/county workers have the authority to block intersections. To think otherwise is stupid, not to mention the liability that a "blocker" assumes.
You need to ride your own ride, obey the traffic laws and arrive alive. Groups of bikers have no more rights than any other motorist. Get use to it.
I could not disagree with you more, infact, you are dead wrong... Large numbers have the right to block anything anytime... It's the law of numbers, get used to it..
I love riding in large groups and have no problem blocking intersections, even parting cars on the freeway..
Check this out, recent local news in socal, Awesome!!! BTW, I don't believe they were DOT workers or police, yet, they blocked the freeway therefore, they had the right..

I could care less about blocking intersections, but this statement has to be the dumbest thing I have ever heard. So if a large group of people were to enter a town and rape and pillage and block law enforcement from stopping it. its OK because its the law of numbers?
