I'm wondering why more reserved for motorcycle parking is not available in public locations like Malls, Restaurants Theaters, Hotels and such.
Our local mall has special parking for Green Cars, small cars and of course handicapped.
Just seems like they would reserve space for bikes, they could get more bikes in less space if they did it right.
I talked to the Bank building management here at my offices and they thought is would be a good idea, they even suggested having it close to the guard shack so they would be watched.
The gov should be looking into this, they should consider it another way to cut down on fossil fuel consumption, give us a place and we will come.
Some places have yellow striped areas near the handicapped parking, usually around big posts. I usually park there. SO FAR, no one has said anything. It's not ike I'm taking a spot away from someone or something else.

Funny you mention this, I stopped at Pop Eyes Chicken yesterday for a snack, parked in the area with grid lines next to the handicapped. Sitting inside drinking a cold soft drink and a veteran with DV plates on his car pulls into the handicapped spot, walks around and looks at my bike, I figured he was admiring the bike. Nope! he walks inside looks around till he sees the helmet, looks me in the eye and shakes his head as if to say what the heck are you parking there for?. was not in his way at all.
Most of the malls I've been to here in So Cal have motorcycle parking, and even restaurants sometimes have them. The hospital where my daughter works also has MC parking right next to the guard shack. I wish more businesses would do this, but yea, I am seeing more and more of it.

I might have said, "Problem?"
I make sure I'm not in their way, when they need to get out. I do like parking between the posts in the ground. It'd be really difficult to hit my bike. I only statrted parking there, when I saw other bikes in the past. You sure can't park in a car parking space.
