Know what "GT" after Mustang stands for?
Got a feller in the shop who's HUGE on performance. Everything he owns is performance oriented. He's got one of those 42' Fountin cig boats he runs up and down Altoona in runnin' 91 mph. You know the kind... costs $400k, twin Merc big blocks... and can only get 5 on comfortably! $1500 in fuel for the weekend... a money feller!
Anyhow.... He's got one of them Mustang GT's.
Just so happen that we both wound up side by side at a stop light leavin' work the other day. I knew he was beside me, but wasn't givin' him any attention... then the light turned green.
As I eased out on the throttle, I heard his car roar and his tires chirpin' for traction! Grabbed some clutch and twisted the throttle, proptly puttin that little "GT" in it's proper place... well behind me!
I asked Kev about it the next morning when I arrived at work.
"You had a "land barge Harley" eat your little Mustang's lunch yesterday, did ya?" I asked.
"Yep," he replied "That big ol' ugly bike sure surprised me!"
"Hey, Kev.... what's the "GT" stand for on your Mustang" I asked.
"Dunno," he says.
"Got Taken!"
Just to add a little salt to that fresh wound, I told him he otta peel those white racin' stripes off his car and give 'em to me... he didn't find the humor in that either.
Just sayin'!
It's been too quiet 'round here lately!
Asked him yesterday (he's still pizzed) and it's the 4.6 liter V-8. It's a year or two old.
Gotta say, the little car will run... just not good enough to hang with my barge!
Can't help it. The facts is tha facts!
Ol' Kev still doesn't think that ANY of this is funny. Another guy in the shop has found an old plaque and peeled the sticker off. Says he's gonna stop by the junk yard and get a "GT" emblem to glue on it.
Word has it that it's gonna be presented to Kev as the "LOOSERS TROPHY!"
Tisk tisk....
