Carol said she want's to ride, and with Jay and me that's 3...
Anyone else up for a ride on Sunday? Thinking North on 75 from Helen, take US 76 over to 197, then down to all the lake roads over to old 441 south down to Tallulah...
Not sure where the best place to meet up for everyone would be. Huddle House on 20 by 400?
NGB and I are officially IN for this ride! Should be a GORGEOUS day!
But like Johnny, we do NOT want to be anywhere NEAR Helen at this time of year...
I think riding up 197 on the west side of Lake Burton, and stopping at LaPrade's Marina for lunch, then going up to Hiawassee, then down to Blue Ridge and returning on GA 60 to Dahlonega, and then GA 9 back home would be a good ride that would avoid the much of the pesky and slow-moving "Leaf Peeper" and "Apple Festival" crowds....
What does everyone think about that? I can lead if anybody asks me REALLY NICE...
Plan...Jay and I getting to Ken and Mary's 8:45 a.m....we leave there at at 9 a.m. Meet up with all other riders at the Waffle House GA20 at Sawnee 9:30 am. KSU at 10ish. Riding north. GOnna be chilly leather up Jay says!
Up Alt 75 to miss Helen..to 356 over to 197 up to Lake Burton. Then Lunch. Then we'll decide where to go next!
Wasn't our biggest turn out for a Sunday ride, but a very nice ride all the same.
The Honey Badger and Marvin the Martian joins Jay and I for a nice ride up Alt 75 to go north of Hellen, swung over to Lake Burton for a nice lunch, then a short cruise over to Tallulah Gorge.
We were sorry to hear JJ was feeling a little under the weather and couldn't make it.
We look forward to riding with yall again soon!
