We, as riders get some trinkets on the highway. Learn what they are. The cops see no difference between you and a car, but its your life and cops are held unaccountable for their lies and ignorance. It is because of the work of others that we get some small recognition from the DMV and their minions.
No Man who ever rode has ever asked to be treated special.
We prefer to not be a splat on the windshield of DMV approved drivers.
Always wear a helment, its great to have the option not to but, dummies drive cars and they have cell phones.
If everyone of the DMV approved drivers had to ride a bike for a week then maybe, just maybe things would change and bikers would not be dying to be seen.

Great thread, we have to advocate for ourselves. Nobody else is going to stick up for us, who in large part are far better drivers than 95% of people on the road with four wheels.
