Currently I am not a member of the Patriot Guards but am considering joining upon my retirement from the Corps next year, so I am not read in as to what would be an appropriate event for the PG riders to participate in.
My question is, would the following event be something that the PG riders would counter-demonstrate?
On March 3rd between the hours of 1 and 4 p.m. the Islamic group "Islamic Thinkers Society" is planning a march near the White House to demonstrate in favor of the adoption of Sharia in these United States.
No...our primary mission is to honor those who serve our nation by attending their funerals as invited guests of the family. We are not a protest or counter-protest organization.
As stated, the PGR is not a protest or counter protest group. The families of servicemen and women ask the PGR to stand in honor of a fallen service member. We stand a flag line at the funeral home and ride escort to the cemetary. We then stand a flag line close by the grave site. This serves as a shield for the family and friends.
The PGR also welcomes home G.I.'s from the war zones.
Both type of events can be very emotional. You will see tears of joy at one and tears of sorrow at the other. Quite possibly some of those tears will be yours. Do not fear this. It shows that you are human, not stone.
The PGR is a fantasic organization that is for Honoring and Supporting military personel and their familys. Counter protesting wont be looked apon well with PGR colors on, I however do support your thougts on counter protesting the event you mention. Sharia law will cause great upheavle in this country . This religious law will allow the people in question to tell their employers what they wont do on the job kinda like a religious union. ie working in a store and not handle certain food items ect . Many Christians have been forced to work on Sundays for decades and that is not a concern to anyone . If you want to work this is what you will do or find work somewhere else. This sharia law will sweep the land and change the separation of church and state as we know it if allowed to enter our society.

Thank you for your input. I asked the question originally to see if the PG did more than just counter the WBC demonstrations which, however they do not. I honor them for their clarity of purpose and remaining true to that cause.
Sharia is one of the single most nefarious proposals introduced into These United States. It is now as a cancer using the naivete of our legal system against us, feeding on the "progressives" need to 'coexist'. They believe that by feeding the gator, he will eat them last.
