Want to get some thoughts/opinions first, before I consider the purchase and add to my Mission Vest. Saw online a top/bottom rocker patch for PGR. Top rocker is "Patriot Guard Riders", bottom rocker is "Honor*Dignity*Respect". When sewn on, they make a circle, with an open middle. I wanted to sew this on my vest, and fill the middle with other small patches I have, i.e.- Honor The Fallen, POW/MIA, Folded Flag, etc. Think this is allowed by the COC? And National PGR? I sent an email to my Deputy State Captain asking, just awaiting a response. Appreciate any 3 patch Club input.

Please check with your State leadership. There are different agreements in place with the CoCs across the country. There are some states where the large PGR back patch is not authorized at all.
I apologize for making anyone mad, but wear what you want. After several deployment to Afghan I hope I am fighting for freedom. If you want to wear it, wear it. You are showing respect for the fallen and those that have served or are serving. If someone has an issue with that they can go to hell. I have wanted to join PGR but if they have issues for me showing my support then there is no way. I have been told what I have to wear by the army for over 11 years. Show your support poud. Sorry for the rant. I am done.
First Chinookman I want to thank you for your service. Since the PGR is not a club we can make requests of indivduals not to do things and hope that people will do so for the sake of the mission. One of the reasons why the PGR has been as successful as it has been is because we are not a club and we have no intention of ever becoming a club and we spend some effort to reinforce that with all motorcycle organizatons. A 3 piece back patch, itentional or not gives the impression of a club which is something the PGR wishes to avoid as it can effect the mission or at least can require people taking time to answer questions.
The large PGR backpatch became an issue in one state when a number of individuals ignored the request of a M/C and state leadership not to wear the patch because of color issues on the patch, except during missions. These individuals took the attitude that no one was going to tell them what to do and the M/C in question took it to the COC which banned the backpatch state wide at all times. Wearing the backpatch in that state puts a target on your back all because some people put their personal preferences before the mission, plus created some bad will in the process.
I think if you meet with any number of people with the PGR you'll find our only concern is honoring our military members and supporting their families; at least that is what it should be. That is our focus and that is our mission. Anyone who isn't 100% on the same page or puts what they want ahead of the mission probably isn't someone who should get involved. That is all we ask of people.
