power commander v start up

Default power commander v start up
I just installed the power commander v on my 2007 road king using a downloaded tune from there site. I noticed that the bike takes a few more cranks to start than before the PCV install. anybody else have this problem and know how to fix? thanks in advance for any help.

It's normal for that year. Do a search and you'll find a bunch of older threads on it. Just faster than trying to explain it.

Short answer fix: Hit the starter while the fuel pump is priming.

Did the same thing on my 08 flhx now matter how I tried to start it.. Sold it the nxt day

That is the trick- try to hit the starter button as soon as possible after turning the ignition switch to the run position.

Yep...hit the starter button as soon as you turn the switch button, don't wait until you don't hear the pump priming ....

Wish that would have worked for me . I had a defective unit bought from ny2az and had it replaced under warranty and it still started like **** with a new unit.. I doubt the map had much to do with it.. I was using a map from the dj site.. Fuelmoto never replied back to me about getting a map from them
