Hi all, has anyone tried the tyre slime for tubed tyres? If so, any negative points you can share.
I carry the AA/RAC standard issue tubeless plug kit, but obviously that's okay for the Kwacker, but no good for the RK.
I wouldn't want to do a road trip and have it ruined for the sake of an easy repairable flat, so what do you guys carry or use if you're running tubed tyres on spoked rims.
Search Ride-on. It's not slime. It's orange, won't damage rims and doesn't make a mess when it comes time to change the tire. It stays in the contact patch area around the tire and if you add 25% more product it will dynamically balance the tire, eliminate external wheel weight and help prevent flats. I think it has Kevlar fibers in it. There are some great youtube videos of the stuff.
I just bought some for my new Dunlop American Elites along with 82* valve stems. Checking the rear tire pressure is a pita with stock stems.
another tip dont use the tubes from drag specialties I've had 2 flats from bad tubes in less than a year, honda tubes rock and have a long stem with a 90 on it.
