Default Converting a dual disc wheel to single disc...

Just curious if you can take a wheel that's set up for dual disc and make it a one disc wheel... by using spacers or anything like that... I know that you can convert the system to one brake by buying a wheel that's already set up for single disc...but I'm wondering if you could convert say a Fat Spoke wheel designed for two rotors to one with a single disc system... this may be a dumb question but I'm just trying to avoid sending the wheel back and waiting another two weeks... Any info would be MUCH appreciated...

Why would you want less stopping power.

I bet you could remove the rotors off of both sides of the wheel and remove the mc off of the handle bar. That way you could show off that sweet wheel.

Brakes are over-rated and completely unnecessary 87% of the time.

eta: this post was pure sarcasm and not meant to be technical advice. You should NEVER reduce the ability of your vehicle to reduce speed. Obviously.

It's PRETTY obvious that the stopping power will be reduced slightly... and it's also PRETTY obvious that I'm ok with that or I wouldn't be considering it... now if there is anyone out there who actually has the answer to my question I'd owe ya one... :-)

Is the bike equipped with ABS? If so, I think the answer is no. If no ABS, I would guess using a space the same size as the rotor that is being removed would work. Just thinking out loud and keeping all other comments to myself.

Yes it is ABS... I probably should have posted that earlier... It's on a 2014 SGS...

I don't think that the rotor on either side is part of the wheel spacer . I think as long as you plug the hose to whatever side you want to remove you should be able to just remove the rotor and caliper and your done . As far as abs I don't know i

f it would work or not.
