I started reading this and asked myself why. Not a naysayer just didn't make a lot of sense. I think all things are possible. Just go do a custom car and bike show and you'll see it all. But the whole time I reading this the one thing that kept popping into my mind was the song.
my whole thing was the minute i was told why. just like all my tats. Why? If you have to ask why then you need to find something and change it, even if it is just a little. this bike is mine I have the note on it. I made the promise to not do anything crazy to it till it was paid off. Well once i had the end date of the last payment, I started to order all the pieces to do the swap, all along the way there has been a lot of positives and a few negatives. But hey it is mine and i can do what i want with it. I had an 83 Cadillac Fleetwood 4 door that was this same blue. Back then every one had coupes, not me. I did everything imaginable to this car and had fun till i let someone borrow it and never got it back. the custom bug bit and chewed at me for years. Once i bought this beauty this was nice everyone had something just like it so i got bit bad and this is whats to show for it. never completed and never ending love for this thing we call freedom.
We have a 07 328i vert. It had the stock radio and I wanted NAV in the car. The popular choice is the Dynavin D99 unit. It is rather similar to the Harley unit. Double DIN face/touchscreen but single din chassis. Doubtful on the waterproof part. They make it in a Android and Windows based unit.
sweet..sounds like a good idea...there is no way the stock harley nav is worth almost 2k
