Head pipe install question

When installing a headpipe how do you know if it's seated properly in the outtlets...so there is no exhaust leak? Or does it not matter too much?

I just seated mine in the outlets and made sure everything was lined up then tightned the bolts two turns at a time moving between all 4 bolts so as to torq them down evenly. When I hit Spec I started it up I listened for leaks but I was good

I just use my hand before it gets to hot, or you can put on a glove to feel for air. Some use a flame.

Check your manual for proper installation & torque sequence.

I know when I installed mine the directions said to start with so many Ft lbs on both bolts then start with the lower bolt for the final torque Ft lbs then move to the top bolt. I am not sure if it matters or not. That was for the Cobra Power Ports.
