Default Bag touching pipe

Mocking up new fender & bags. Right side is perfect. Left side the bag is touching to pipe. All the gaps between the fender, bags & pipes are perfect. If I rotate the pipe then it will be touching the fender. And if I move the bag then the it will make a bigger gap between the bag & fender.
Question is: how can I get these two from making contact without adjusting the pipe?

Shim out the bag bracket a little bit with a few washers.

That looks like a tight fit, you could try to shim them from the hangers. I had to do this to get my pipes away from the right swing arm. I used a few thick washers and it pushes the pipes down a bit.

That's some tight stuff! I would recommend shimming both bags out a little bit but it sounds like you want the clearances tight.

Next thing to do would be to shim the exhaust brackets to bring the pipes down a little bit. With the way your setup looks, there will be some more wiggle room for adjusting the pipes if they were a little lower.

Other than that, you could always go to 1" exhaust

I'd definelty check the exhaust brackets....and check the "rail" mounting points...the rail that the saddle bag sits on

If those things are good...I'm with this idea, above. Wonder what would happen if u just loosened the exhaust bracket to where it hung down some....maybe add a few washers or something so the pipes are lower

That's the nature of fabrication. We can't help you from where we sit. If you can't suss it out, you'll need to get the assistance of somebody who can. Way too many factors involved to solve your problem on the web. We can talk all day about shims, it's up to you to know where they go.

I disagree with that guy. This isn't magic and there aren't "way too many factors" involved here. It's just a fine tune of your new fitment and anyone who's went aftermarket has done it. A few tips from the members will give you the info you need to get it all aligned. That's what this place is about.
That being said, if you're needing help with what to shim and where, just let me know. I still think everything is good with your tins and you just need to drop/shim the exhaust a bit to get some room to adjust the left pipe.
