2005 ultra
bought a module to make my rear turns- brake and running also,, i have amber lenses , question is , is it legel to leave them amber as they will now be brake lights also ?? i know i can put red lenses but i kinda like them as amber , when you hit the brakes they really grab you eyes along with the led tail and flashing ones on the tour pac .
thanks mike
If you get hit from behind it could cause problems with your insrance or the person who hit you. You now have some culpability which could cost you $$$.
I had the smoke lenses on mine when I put the run, turn, and brake module on it and the local dealer insisted I put red bulbs in the turn signals. I did, I put red leds in and they are much brighter than the stock bulbs and still look cool with the smoke gray lenses.
I think all states require red lenses now for the brake and can have amber or red for the turns. Almost all newer cages have red for the combo brake/turn signals now.
