Default Voltage Regulator Covers

I post this as a reminder that Voltage Regulators shed excess voltage as heat- thus the cooling fins.

For some reason i have noticed a bunch of "sales" on the HD chrome voltage regulator cover jamming my spam inbox.

Maybe same for some of you Guys.

Stay away- this is a bad idea, a cover that prevents the VR from cooling will eventually cause it to fail $$$.

Default Chrome voltage regulator

An interesting perspective. Heat loss due to chrome fascia. Thanks.

Yes. Then you have all the chrome bolt-on covers for the engine, trans etc.

I agree. Chrome won't get you home.... but you'll look good while waiting.

I'm not a fan of any cover who's only function is decorative.
