Garmin Quest is the same one that HD sells in their GPS kit. Thats what i have and just bought the fairing moount from HD for it.

otherwise, I hear a lot of good word about the ZUMO 550 (i think thats it) for bikes. http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/gadgets/g...les-188400.php

I love my garmin

I have a garmin 2610 and I love it. they make bike friendly gps'
they don't make mine anymore. the 2720 or the zumo are pretty popular right now. One of the things i like most about mine is being able to choose your road catagory. I choose minor roads, which are basically back roads. My philosophy: the funnest distance between two points is a squiggly line.
Just make sure it has a flash drive instead of hard drive and that its waterproof.
Hope this helps,
shrty

Ah've run the Garmin 2610 fer a coupla years now- between the bike an' mah truck, it's got 'bout 80k miles of run time on it. VERY good rep in the m/c community, an' the best part is that it ain't the "latest an' greatest", so you kin git 'em fer 'bout $400 FOB yer door.

Ah've heard horror stories on the TomTom units - guy on the GL1800 board went through 4 or so of 'em tryin' ta git one ta work...

An' ah'm hearin' the Zumo is nice too - but ah lahk the extry $$$ in MAH pocket.....

Garmin is the overwelming choice of riders. There are several model's to choose from. 2610 and 2720 are great units and price is coming down. Zumo 550/450 are the new up graded model's. Decide what you want in a unit and shop around. Many good sites have been listed on this forum for prices. Try a search.

You still can get lost with a GPS it is just a controled lost!

GPS units are great. I have a couple of them for different uses and once you 'learn' how to use them, they can truly enhance your traveling experiences. I've always liked Garmin products for there ease of use, but I'm sure some of the other manufacturers make good stuff too.
