ok so thanks to steelerdude1 putting up his really quick self painted road glide conversion, i decided to jump into the void and grab a oversees repop fairing myself and get this conversion going.
plans:
convert to road glide fairing
keep road king dash and tach
no guages in fairing, all speakers and tweets
figure out what to do with the nacelle to accept speakers or cap the nacelle
there is a small chance i might run tbars, 14" slingshots
so i have scored a set of headlights, with splitter cable off ebay and i am on the hunt for a cheap stock thumbnail windscreen.
i want to get upgraded rubber trim for the entire fairing, and also need to get the little rubber nobbies that go under the glove box doors
also it seems that every seller on ebay asks way more than kutter harley sells the fairing mounts. so kutter will be used for the fairing mount and stereo mount
looking around on the pits of the internet it seems sinister industries sells a capped nacelle option but 300+ bucks is way over my head, any one have an idea or a link to a capped nacelle, so a guagless necelle for the road glide
im thinking of chopping my road king nacelle by cutting off the headlight and have it welded shut so the forks are capped with no unused guage holes sticking up over the shroud
instead of cutting up the king nacelle, why not just get the stock speedo and tach housing for the road glide? msrp is just over $200 for the 3 pieces, and you could probably save a bit over that from kutter.....

i am not going to run speedo and tach in that housing if i get it, i would like to get speakers fitted in there, but if i could get a nacelle with no gauge holes that would be best
most likely i will get a used nacelle off ebay and retro fit some speakers, but i am trying to find the lowest priced route to go
