rinehart rattle, i too had a rattle in the right pipe ( new style true duel ), this fix is NOT in the service manual but it worked in that i could not get the three fastners out.
i took an oar from the small boat i have and it fit exactly into the baffle, the hand end is the perfect tapered round size and i simply tapped it in to seat it and moved it side to side. fixed
and i didnt have to disconnect the negative on the battery
Taterdg -- lets fast forward to 2011. I bought a 99 Road Glide last year and had Rinehart TDs already on it. It was loud. I fieberglass wrapped them. Helped a litte but not much. I have read hundreds of posts here and elsewhere trying to figure out what kind of quiet baffles I needed. Your post, describing the old and new versions was PERFECT. Thank you sooo much.
