Default Stretched Tank input please.

For those with a stretched tank or stretched tank shrouds:

Has the positioning of your legs been effected? Bothersome or uncomfortable?

Looking at Baddad shrouds, but considering yaffee or demons cycle. Not excited about having to change seats, but want to get the tank done before custom painting.

Thanks.

I have not had any issue with my riding position what so ever. I chose my gas tank from RWD design. This is a complete stretched tank versus an over lay. The fitment was perfect and I really like the look plus the seat is now flush with the tank as well.

I have a 7 gallon going on my Road King. Has been in the shop quite a while but hoping to get it back by the first of the year. Lots of work being done to it including new paint, engine build and boo koo more. The downside is the tank comes back 2 inches further and a seat has to be made for it which I hope will be completed before long as the pan is just about built and just needs fine tuned and upholstered. I have sat on it with the tank and does not seem it will affect my legs much but as a precaution I also have Cyclesmiths 20 3/4" banana boards going on.

I would be most curious to see pics of that bike, particularly the seat. Having a Mustang riders backrest incorporated into mine has me concerned as I am losing 2 inches with the tank coming back that much further. I just have not seen another bike other than mine with a 7 gallon tank.

is the part of the tank closest to your crotch more prone to scratches etc now? that's always been my biggest concern

I'm looking at getting the Bad Dad or DBC tank shrouds. Is a new seat absolutely neccesary or will I be able to modify the seat that I have? I love the custom look of the shrouds but I still need the comfort of a touring seat.

Just be careful with the chain on your wallet.

Is everyone happy with going the stretched tank route? Any regrets or issues at this point? Thinking about the bad dad route .
