My vote, your battery is toast. JR

Here is what I have found out to today. I charged the battery with car charger, it was at 95%. Connected my digital meter to the bike, it read 12.35 volts give or take, meter jumps around. Turn switch on, voltage jumps up to 12.7. Crank it over, meter goes down to 10 something volts, happens fast meter is flashing numbers quick. It is cranking over kind of slow. When it is running it is charging in the low 14s. It is 55 outside, got down to 35 last night. After the bike cranks the first time it will fire up fine till it sets for awhile and cools off. All connections are good and tight.

You have a bad battery.

The fact that it drops to the 10 volt range when trying to crank explains why it is turning over very slow.

You might want to make sure that your compression releases are enabled. My son had his tuned at a local dealer and they left his ACR turned off in his tune.

Well that can't be the problem, pcv does not control the acr.
I will get the battery load tested Monday. Thanks everybody.

It was about 45 when I started it up this morning. It grunted pretty hard but fired up. Went to a buddies house and when I cranked her up it just about didn't wind over fast enough to fire up? Two year old battery, checked the connections, all good. I think it would have cranked right up after staying on a trickle charger? Any thing else I need to check besides the battery?
Back in the summer months did the bike grunt, buck, whine, groan and fart before it started? If it only does it when it is cold, then there is your answer. Buy a heavy duty cold cranking battery.

True but the ECM does control the ACR, if it isn't running a factory tune it still could be on or off.

My original battery lasted 4 years. It's replacement lasted 2 years. Same symptoms as you on both of them. The first one left me stranded when it crapped out completely. I didn't wait for the second one to let me down. I replaced it 3 days ago. $100 bucks every couple of years or so is OK with me as long as I don't get stranded.
