Need recommendations on rider and sissy bar backrests for my RK
2004 RK FLHRI
Right now I'm borrowing one of HD's rider backrests and I really like it. I just don't like the price tag. $200 for that little thing is outrageous! It's the one that folds down and forward and has the adjustment screw in the back.
I'd like something cheaper with the same features. And I'd also like a sissy bar pad that matches. Any recommendations?
I have the Harley drivers one. The one with the screw in the back. It flips forward so you can swing your leg. It is consider the non-adjustable model. Some folks with large profiles complain that it pushes them forward but i have not experienced that problem.
Used : Sometimes half price but you need the metal holder part that goes on the bike.
I have not seen a less expensive alternative of similar quality
There are some passenger ones on ebay and such that have a **** on each side of the passenger sissy bar. The quality is much different than the Harley one and the price reflects it...Friend bought the passenger one for a dyna and it has a little rattle to it plus the metal is thinner.
I have the HD one with the screw in the back on my '12 RK. I had a hard time spending the money too, but it's definitely the best one I've seen. It's good quality and very adjustable in every direction. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one if I replace my bike.

You need the backrest and the mounting bracket for the fixed rider backrest. The mounting bracket can be mounted in 3 different positions. The sdjustment screw is just for fine tuning.
