So which gasket did you end up with? Did it accomplish what you wanted?
I agree, they do look and sound awesome!
I just moved. I don't have the number handy and haven't been able to tackle the project yet. I think it might have been for an old Chevy S10. It'll need trimming but I hope it'll be a tad thicker once screwed down, thus pulling the beginning of that headpipe toward the right thus shifting the whole left headpipe inward.
I haven't had issues with the rear pipe and my wife hasn't complained. I think they need to change some things, the tranny bracket is off and had a sharp edge that was causing my clamp to break. The muffler clamp that they sent me was a bandaid to the problem. Causes a leak and brings the pipe against the rear axle nut.
Pure laziness not to put work into their instructions yet. 2 years, it ain't that hard. I'm about to sell the pipe, wouldn't buy them again.
I feel my left head pipe sticks out too far too. I have adjusted it over and over again. I've researched and changed gaskets. Recently I went through every damn gasket at a NAPA store till I found one that might space juuuuust enough to put the pipe where it should be closer inboard.
I ordered chrome tips and they told me they would refund me most of it if I returned the black tips in perfect condition. I did, but I got no refund. In the same order I decided to be nice and return all the parts I didn't use. Which was quite a bit. Especially since I bought floorboard extenders so I didn't need theirs. I left a nice note explaining that I was giving them all the extra hardware and I hoped that they would please give me an extra rear floorboard spacer so I could use it on the right to keep the spacing the same on both sides. You think I got a spacer? NOPE! I'm not real happy with the customer service.
I do like the look and sound of the pipes.
Im not sure if you ever called the shop after not getting your refund. We strive to make sure we resolve any issues that our customers might have. If you would like to take the time to call the shop we would be happy to talk to you and would like the chance to resolve this situation. 661-951-9878
Really disappointed in the chrome on my MGS chrome exhaust tips. The cans and header covers have done OK, but this is HORRIBLE! Especially considering how expensive they were!
Damn! My buddy has the MGS chrome tips on his, and I know he paid a pretty penny for them too. His still look good though, but to be fair, he hasn't been able to ride as much as he'd like over the past few summers due to life events.
That is terrible....Hopefully MGS steps up and gets you taken care of.
